چکیده
The objective of this study was to evaluate the yield, nutrient profile and in vitro digestibility new BMR mutant lines sorghum Indonesia. These were GH2.1, GH2.2, GH2.3, GH4.1, GH4.2, GH4.3 GH4.4. One line (CTY) two national varieties (Super 1 Bioguma) also evaluated as controls. In rumen fermentation measured using Ankom Daisy Fermenter Hohenheim gas test methods, respectively. measurement consisted ten treatments with five replications following a completely randomized design. highest stem sugar content found Bioguma (11.22%) GH4.4 (9.32%) (p<0.05). variety GH2.3 had higher number segments fresh forage yield than Super A greater concentration crude protein (CP) observed for GH.2.1, GH4.1 lowest acid detergent lignin (ADL) (p<0.05), while level non-fibre carbohydrate (NFC) compounds relative feed value (RFV) Furthermore, GH4.2 true (IVTD) (p<0.05) but not significantly different from Bioguma. Regarding characteristics, composition values, values line. Except n-valerate (nC5), significant differences all parameters among cultivars interrelationship between parameters, we medium correlation DMD ADL cellulose (R2 = -0.489 R2 -0.674, respectively). Based on these findings, should be further developed sorghum.

Comparison of Brown Midrib Sorghum with Conventional Sorghum Forage for Grazing Dairy Cows
A brown midrib (BMR) sorghum pasture was compared with normal sorghum for its effects on performance of Holstein cows in midlactation in terms of milk production and composition at grazing over three periods (Period 1: 20/01 to 31/01, Period 2: 17/02 to 28/02, Period 3: 19/03 to 30/03). Forty Holstein cows were grouped according to pre-experimental milk production (22.4 ± 4.2 kg/d milk), live w...

متن کاملBrown Midrib Forage Sorghum, Sudangrass, and Corn: What Is the Potential?
Brown midrib, a genetic mutation in several grassy species, reduces lignin content in the total plant parts. Lignin is mostly indigestible but also plays an important role in plant rigidity. During the past several years the brown midrib (bmr) trait has been incorporated into forage sorghum, sudangrass, and corn. The results have been significant for the most part. IVTD values for bmr sorghum h...
